Anastasia has completed her Engineering degree (Diploma in Information Technology) in Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) and proceeded with her Master studies at the University of Konstanz with the focus on Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing. She compiled her master's thesis on the topic of Automated Identification of Framing by Word Choice and Labeling to Reveal Media Bias in News Articles.
Anastasia's research interests lies in the intersection of computer and social sciences. Applying machine learning and natural language processing to the problems originally existed in the social sciences, e.g., content analysis, she seeks developing reliable prototypes to analyze biased word choice that could replace manual time-consuming analyses and assist researchers and readers to analyze news coverage.
Anastasia's prime interest lies in the areas of
- Machine learning
- Natural language processing
- Language modelling
- Information visualization
- Framing analysis and media bias
